The three Bone cousins find themselves lost in another world. They are all separated and each have their own story to tell. When they finally find each other they meet Thorn and Grandma Ben happy to give them a place to stay. Unfortunately, there are dark forces lurking.
I really liked the characters in this book series. They were cute (In a funny kind of way). Fone Bone’s love for Thorn is really funny at the start and Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone are both huge laughs. It was also really easy to get stuck into this book series. 🙂 🙂
I don’t think I had any dislikes in this series. Though, it has been a while since I’ve sat down and read them.
After the death of her father, Emily and her brother Navin move with their mother to the home of their long dead great-grandfather. The strange house turns out to be dangerous with Emily finding a magical stone necklace and her mother getting taken away by a weird creature. Emily and Navin journey into another world were they make friends and do more than just rescuing their mother.
The drawings are AWESOME. They are so detailed and really match the words. Kazu is very creative with the different types of animal people he came up with.
Some parts of the book contain death. (i’m not saying I don’t like this but some people wouldn’t like it). I also didn’t like one of the images (no spoilers) in the first book.
